VIDEO: The 'Battle' on Fuchik Street in Yerevan. Exclusive Footage from Daniel Ioannisyan

The 'battle' on Fuchik Street in the world's '7th safest' capital city features exclusive footage captured by Daniel Ioannisyan, coordinator of the 'Informed Citizens' Initiative NGO. The clips reveal a two-act encounter on the street that has drawn public attention.

Ioannisyan noted in relation to the video: 'The level of police public support is so 'high' that none of the residents from nearby apartment buildings reported the sounds of gunfire and grenade explosions. The police learned about the incident only after wounded individuals were admitted to the hospital.'

Earlier, it was reported that shots were fired in Yerevan on the night of March 15. Shortly after midnight, a medical emergency team was dispatched to address No. 6 on Fuchik Street, where they discovered injured civilians and blood-like traces.

At the scene, a large number of bullet casings from various firearms, grenade fragments, blood-like traces, and vehicles damaged by gunfire were found, including the car of a National Assembly MP, which bore the mark of a bullet hit. Two civilians were transported to different hospitals in Yerevan.

It was revealed that the gunfire damaged the official vehicle of Sarkis Khandanian, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction and chair of the Foreign Relations Committee. Khandanian stated that his official vehicle was merely parked there and sustained damage from the gunfire.
