At Least 20 Palestinians Killed, 155 Injured Waiting for Humanitarian Aid in Gaza

While waiting for food aid in Gaza, at least 20 people have been killed due to shelling, reports CNN. The Gaza Ministry of Health has stated that the incident occurred when "Israeli occupation forces attacked a gathering of citizens waiting for humanitarian assistance."

According to the ministry, 20 people have died and another 155 have been injured, with the wounded transferred to hospitals. Eyewitnesses have reported that the area was hit by tank or artillery fire.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), however, stated that the reports of an attack by Israeli soldiers are false. "The information that the IDF attacked dozens of Gaza residents at a humanitarian aid distribution point is false," the military stated in a social media post. The IDF also urged people to "rely only on credible information."
