On Monday, nearly 50 people were injured due to a technical malfunction involving a LATAM Airlines Boeing flight traveling from Sydney, Australia, to Auckland, New Zealand. CNN reported that the flight's pilot announced he temporarily lost control of the aircraft.
Earlier, the New York Times reported that Boeing had not passed 33 out of 89 inspections by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which were initiated in the context of an investigation concerning an incident involving a detached fuselage fragment during a flight of the 737 Max model.
