Anna Hakobyan Appointed Director of Charitable Foundation
On March 13 and 14, extraordinary meetings of the Board of Trustees of the 'My Step' charitable foundation were held, with the agenda focused on the changes in the leadership of the foundation.
During the first extraordinary meeting, by unanimous decision of the members, Mikitar Hayrapetyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, was elected as the Chairman of the Board.
At the meeting on March 14, the question of changing the Executive Director of the foundation was discussed. At the recommendation of the Chairman of the Board and by unanimous decision of the other members, Anna Hakobyan was appointed as the Executive Director of the foundation.
Before being appointed, Anna Hakobyan had voluntarily left the Board of Trustees and, as a result, resigned from the position of Chairman.
“After Mikitar Hayrapetyan was appointed as Minister, it became necessary for me to assume the responsibilities of the Executive Director in order to ensure the seamless implementation of the programs approved by the Board of Trustees of 'My Step' foundation and the effective functioning of the foundation moving forward. This role will allow me to dedicate more time to implementing the programs and aims to give a new impetus to the foundation's model. It will also be an additional factor for ensuring transparency, accountability, and visibility of our activities,” Anna Hakobyan commented on her resignation as Chairman and her appointment as Executive Director. She also expressed gratitude to the Board of Trustees for sharing this vision and entrusting her with the Executive Director role, as well as to Mikitar Hayrapetyan for assuming the chairmanship of the Board. “In addition to ensuring the effective implementation of current programs, we will also strive to launch new strategic initiatives. I again thank all the donors of the foundation,” she added.
