VIDEO: The Repair of the 'Arzni 2-Yerevan' Water Pipeline Is Extremely Complex; Water Supply Will Be on a Different Schedule

Photos of the 'Arzni 2-Yerevan' main water pipeline, measuring 900-1000 mm, passing through Koreys Gorge, have been published by 'Veolia Water'.

'This pipeline supplies water to the Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan and 25% of the city center. The repair is extremely complex due to the collapse of the soil layer, which has altered the course of the Hrazdan River, making the road leading to the pipeline impassable. This means that significant groundwork must first be carried out to relocate the river's course before proceeding to fix the actual break,' the statement reads.

'Veolia Water' has addressed the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia for the provision of machinery and necessary resources and has already received the required support to resolve this public interest issue as swiftly as possible. Dear consumers, considering the above circumstances, we inform you that until the final resolution of the issue, water supply to the administrative districts will be implemented on a slightly different schedule,' the announcement added.

In response to comments on the post, 'Veolia Water' stated that water supply will be restored by 21:00.
