VIDEO: ‘Astronomical’ Funds Being Collected at Pushkin School – Clarification

ArmLur.am received alerts from parents of students at Yerevan’s A.S. Pushkin Secondary School No. 8, indicating that a significant amount of money was being collected from each student in the graduating classes for organizing graduation events.

The school principal, Natalya Stepanian, has denied these claims, stating that she personally spoke with the parents of graduating students and clarified their rights, particularly concerning financial matters.

“We have already implemented preventive measures. I have personally talked to parents in each class and explained the situation, clarifying all the processes they have rights to, especially regarding financial issues,” said the principal.

She also noted that there have been instances where a parent in need of money approached family members, suggesting that the school was collecting funds. “There have been cases where parents have turned to grandparents, saying the school is collecting this much money, which is not true. I believe we need to follow up on each case consistently,” added the principal.
