VIDEO: Crew Dragon Spacecraft Launched into Space

The American SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft launched with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin as part of the Crew-8 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The broadcast of the launch can be viewed on the NASA website.

The Falcon-9 rocket launch with the Crew Dragon spacecraft took place at 22:53 local time (07:53 on March 4 in Yerevan) from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It is expected that the Crew Dragon will dock with the orbital station on March 5.

The launch had been delayed multiple times due to adverse weather conditions. Thus, on March 3, it was postponed due to strong winds.

On January 31, NASA announced the launch of the Crew Dragon with cosmonaut Grebenkin, which was initially scheduled for February 22. The crew is expected to head to the orbital laboratory as part of Crew-8, where they will conduct research and operational missions over a six-month period.

Later, on February 13, NASA announced that the launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin to the ISS was delayed to February 28 at 00:49 local time (09:49 in Yerevan). Subsequently, the launch was delayed again, this time to March 2.

On March 2, it was confirmed that the launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft was postponed due to weather conditions. The new date and time were set for March 3 at 22:53 local time (07:53 on March 4 in Yerevan).
