VIDEO: Residents of Kond Hold Protest in Front of Yerevan City Hall

Residents of Kond are holding a protest in front of the Yerevan City Hall. This is reported by Sputnik Armenia.

"We are protesting against the council's decision, which states that we must pay 2 percent of the cadastral value of our properties into the Yerevan city budget. We want this not to be implemented. Since when has a council decision become superior to law or the Constitution?" said a woman participating in the protest.

Currently, there are 254 applications regarding the legalization of buildings and land plots in the Kond neighborhood. This was stated by Hayk Muradyan, the head of the architecture and urban planning department, during the regular operational meeting of the Yerevan City Hall.
