According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder for Juventus and the French national team has been banned for four years. This length of suspension was requested by the anti-doping prosecutor in December.

On August 20, 2023, the World Cup champion tested positive for testosterone. A second test confirmed the initial results, leading to the 30-year-old Frenchman being sidelined from football.
