Earthquake Registered in Turkey, Felt in Armenia as Well

On February 28, at 17:51 local time (13:51 GMT), a seismic event was recorded by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Seismic Protection Territorial Service. The earthquake occurred with geographical coordinates of 40.51° north latitude and 43.33° east longitude, 22 km southeast of the city of Kars, Turkey, at a depth of 10 km and with a magnitude of 3.7.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was measured at 5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Anipemza and Jrapi in the Shirak region, registering an intensity of 2-3 on the Richter scale.
