Video: "The head of the Nor Norq administrative district said, 'Not all issues of Masiv are my issues'" – activist Eduard Hayrumyan

“This is a section of the sidewalk on N. Stepanian Street in the Nor Norq administrative district, located right next to the main school number 135. The sidewalk was last asphalted decades ago, and until around 2014-2015 it was passable, after which it gradually began to become obstructed by sliding soil from above and accumulated waste from below.

Activist Eduard Hayrumyan has shared a video on his page. Over the last eight years, no official has even attempted to clean it, and for instance, during a meeting with the Masiv district mayor two months ago, my request to clean the sidewalk was dismissed. The head of the Nor Norq administrative district said, 'Not all issues of Masiv are my issues. What if Ms. Zhenik falls and breaks her arm, am I supposed to take her to the hospital?' The head of the communal services of the administrative district also stated that there is a program for improvement in that area.

“Yerevan City Hall, I request that you organize the complete cleaning of the sidewalk and the removal of the garbage.”

The activist also notes that the sidewalk required only 40 minutes to clean. For more details, see the video.
