NATO Widespread Exercises Begin in Poland
Today, the national military exercises of the Polish Armed Forces will commence, featuring participation from the armed forces of other countries under the banner of Dragon-24. This information was reported by Interfax, referencing the Polish Army's General Staff.
It is already known that approximately 20,000 military personnel will be trained across the exercise areas. Around 3,500 units of military equipment from 10 NATO countries and the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) battlegroup will also participate, which is part of NATO's initiative to strengthen its presence in Eastern Europe in support of allies.
The Polish Ministry of Defense clarified that the main forces in the exercises will be represented by the 11th Armored Cavalry Division, along with air, naval, and defense forces. The ministry noted that the exercises aim to assess the "interaction and execution of combat tasks" across land, air, and sea. Concurrently, military training operations will also be conducted in the cyberspace domain.
