VIDEO: Argument Turns Violent on Parpetsi Street; Man Dies

On February 22, at 10:50 PM, an emergency medical worker contacted the police operations management center, reporting that a 32-year-old man was found unconscious, beaten, and with a head injury on Parpetsi Street.

About 15 minutes later, a new report came in. The emergency worker stated that the unconscious man was the caller, and an elderly man was found at the same location with signs of injury but was already deceased.

A police operational group, along with the heads of the department and patrol service of Yerevan, rushed to the scene. Through a series of investigative measures, the identity of the deceased was established; he was 56-year-old Arman Gevorgyan, a resident of the Narekatsou neighborhood.

It was also revealed that the deceased and the 32-year-old man had been arguing and physically fighting while under the influence of alcohol. The 24-year-old son of Arman Gevorgyan witnessed the altercation, approached the fighters, struck the 32-year-old man several times, and then also hit his father multiple times, resulting in his father's death.

Shortly after midnight, both the 32-year-old man and the deceased's 24-year-old son were found on Parpetsi Street. They were arrested and brought to the police department, where a personal search revealed that the 32-year-old man was in possession of a folding knife. A criminal case has been initiated, and circumstances are being clarified.
