Snow, Blizzard, Fog: Blocked and Difficult Roads in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that there are blocked and difficult roads across Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and the Keri Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers due to blizzard and fog, and the use of snow chains is recommended.

Snow is falling in the section of Gorayk-Zanger. According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Management Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepanavan-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
