Will the Issue of Starting Arms Production in Armenia be Considered? Journalist to Leckornu
The decision of French President Emmanuel Macron is that France should support the Armenian Ministry of Defense, with the current priority being the acquisition of defensive weapons and the training to apply all of this. This was stated by French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu during a joint press conference at the Ministry of Defense administrative complex.
“We will respond to the operational needs of Armenia; we need to make appropriate proposals considering those needs,” said the minister in response to a journalist's question about whether the issue of starting arms production in Armenia would be considered.
The minister emphasized that one of the characteristics of France is that everything consumed by the army is of French production, which allows for autonomous decision-making regarding exports. He stressed that this relates exclusively to defensive armaments, while sometimes France's position is distorted on social media.
It should be noted that the delegation led by the French Minister of Armed Forces arrived in Armenia on February 22.
