Russian Officials Called for the Overthrow of Power in Armenia: Pashinyan

Russian officials were calling for the overthrow of power in Armenia in 2023. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with France 24.

“During the events of September 2023 and in October, high-ranking Russian representatives were directly urging the citizens of Armenia to revolt and overthrow the elected, legitimate authority of Armenia,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, Russian television channels have systematically, consistently, and purposefully conducted anti-campaigning against the elected authorities of Armenia and personally against him for six years, and this anti-campaigning is not diminishing.

“What other conclusion can be drawn?” said Pashinyan, adding that Armenian-Russian relations are within the framework of “institutional traditions.”
