Galust Grigoryan Transfers Over 2 Billion Drams Worth of Property to Armenia

The former Minister of Finance, Gagik Khachatryan's case has seen a notable development with Galust Lukashi Grigoryan, as the Prosecutor General's Office has entered into a settlement agreement with him. This has been reported by the Prosecutor's Office.

Last May, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia presented a request to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan regarding the illegal origin of 6.5 billion drams in property and monetary assets belonging to Grigoryan in connection with the case of Gagik Khachatryan.

Investigations into the illegal origin of property owned by Grigoryan were initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office on October 9, 2020. Through a representative, Grigoryan proposed to resolve the lawsuit through a settlement.

Based on this proposal, a settlement agreement was concluded between the Prosecutor General's Office and the representative of the respondent on February 21, 2024. Under this agreement, a land plot of 16,013 square meters located on Acharyan Street in the Avan administrative district of Yerevan, valued at 2 billion 18 million 400 thousand drams, will be transferred to the property of the Republic of Armenia. This amount constitutes 76.93 percent of the total claim.

The aforementioned settlement agreement is subject to court approval within a month.
