The Idea of Creating a Strong Defensive Line Belongs to Putin, Says Shoigu

Experts from Poland and the Baltic states developed a counteroffensive plan under which the Ukrainian armed forces would reach the Sea of Azov, cutting off the land corridor to Crimea. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in an interview with TASS chief editor Mikhail Petrov.

“The defensive line constructed before the Ukrainian counteroffensive has allowed us to deliver daily knockouts to the Ukrainian armed forces and advance in certain directions,” said Shoigu, adding, “The idea of creating a strong defensive line belongs to the President of the Russian Federation; he oversaw this process.”
