Russia is gathering 'large numbers of troops' near the Zaporizhzhia front line, according to CNN, citing Russian and Ukrainian sources.

According to American journalists, Russia is conducting mass troop buildups in approximately the same areas where Ukrainian armed forces attempted a counteroffensive last summer. Some analysts have informed the channel that Russia could be amassing a force of 50,000 personnel at the Zaporizhzhia front.

"This is happening at a time when Russian forces are seeking to increase their advantage on the eastern front after raising their flag in Avdiivka," CNN reports.
