Ship Hit by Houthi Fire Sinks
A ship that was earlier attacked by Yemeni Houthis (Ansar Allah movement) in the Gulf of Aden has sunk. This was reported by Sky News Arabia on the X social network, citing its sources in Yemen. The information was relayed by RIA Novosti.
"A ship under attack by Houthis in the Gulf of Aden has sunk," reads the statement from the news channel.
Previously, a military representative of the Houthis, Yahya Saree, announced that the Yemeni armed forces' naval forces had attacked the British RUBYMAR ship with several anti-ship missiles, and that the ship sustained damage which threatened to flood it. He noted that during the operation, the crew of the ship was evacuated.
The Houthis began to attack American and British ships in the Red Sea in mid-January following airstrikes by these countries in Yemen, to put an end to Houthi attacks on ships heading to Israel or its ports in the Red Sea.
