VIDEO: They acted aggressively, shamelessly, and everyone immediately fell under them: Putin
Russia has never distinguished between Russians and Ukrainians, considering them to be one people. This opinion was expressed by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with workers at the "Uralvagonzavod". The information is provided by TASS.
"I want to say directly how it has been. Everyone knows this: we have never made a distinction between Russians and Ukrainians, between Russia and Ukraine," Putin said. He noted that the overwhelming majority of those living in Ukraine and the absolute majority of people in Russia have always believed that they are essentially the same.
At the same time, the president pointed out that anti-Russian sentiments in Ukraine are rooted in history. "After the Great Patriotic War, some of those nationalistic and Nazi elements who collaborated with Hitler fled abroad. They ran to the United States, Canada, and our opponent has made a bet on them," Putin said, emphasizing that individuals with anti-Russian sentiments came to power in Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union. "It doesn’t even matter what surname the president had. They acted aggressively, shamelessly, and everyone immediately fell under them," the head of state underscored.
