There Is a Risk That Avdiivka Will Come Under Russian Control, Kirby

Intense battles are ongoing in the military operation zone, especially around the city of Avdiivka. This assessment was provided by John Kirby, the National Security Council's Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House.

“Unfortunately, we are receiving reports from Ukraine that the situation is critical. Russia continues to apply pressure on Ukrainian positions every day. There is a risk that Avdiivka will come under Russian control,” Kirby stated.

He partially attributed this situation to the depletion of artillery shells by Ukrainian forces.
