Gegharkunik Governor Comments on Protest Held in Vardenis

Gegharkunik Governor Karen Sargsyan has addressed the protest that took place the previous day in the Vardenis community. He deemed the protest political and expressed disagreement with the "unjust and provocative actions of its organizers."

"The political action is a consequence of the spread of false information among the people, alleging that vital public institutions in Vardenis are being dissolved or moved with the intent to empty the community of its residents. Those spreading such provocative news forget the significant investments made by the indigenous government in recent years and the important programs implemented across various sectors of public life," stated Karen Sargsyan.

According to the governor, billions of drams in subsidized programs have been implemented in Vardenis over the past year, and these will continue this year as well. In the coming years, a new medical center, one school, five educational complexes, and new kindergarten buildings will be constructed with state funds, along with strengthening infrastructure.

"In contrast, some irresponsible individuals take advantage of an unwarranted opportunity to create panic and instability in the surroundings. All of this arises from the fact that people are not adequately informed, which is why I urge all informed individuals to provide sufficient information regarding the constructive policies and programs implemented by the state," noted Karen Sargsyan.
