Discussion on Transport Fare Increase Today, No Voting: Avinyan

During the session of the Yerevan City Council today, February 13, out of the 16 questions on the agenda, 11 will not be reported. This was mentioned today during the start of the Yerevan City Council session by Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

Nvard Vardanyan from the My Step faction proposed that the remaining issues, except for the question regarding the transport fare increase, also be made unreported due to the situation. “There are issues regarding street naming and other matters that I believe are not appropriate to be reported today,” she stated.

This proposal was accepted. Tigran Avinyan announced that the discussion on the transport fare increase will take place today, but there will be no voting. “Before the vote, the issue will be removed from the agenda. But it is also very important that as a result of these discussions, we come to certain solutions,” he said.
