“All those construction permits were issued during his time,” Tigran Avinyan

Member of the Yerevan City Council from the 'National Progress' faction Hayk Grigoryan, addressing the agenda items of the meeting, pointed out the violations recorded during the construction in the Byuregh neighborhood and the issuance of construction permits. He noted that they are concerned about the change in the intended use of the land: “The fact of direct sales of real estate suggests to us that these issues cannot be unreported.”

Grigoryan also provided another example: “The residents of Tichin will want to know that the specific factions responsible for constructing residential buildings near them are the 'Civil Contract', 'Republic' factions, and these 2-3 people from 'Public Voice' who ensured the quorum and voted in favor. In a year, we will hear the story of Tichin, where residential houses were dug next to people's homes, which is now part of the 'Jermuk' group.”

Mayor Tigran Avinyan responded to his statements: “Regarding the alarming issues you raised, I believe you can request clarification from your faction leader, or, I don’t know what his position is at this moment. All those construction permits were issued during his time.”
