GOR NERSISYAN: THE FIRST EUROPEAN CHAMPION IN ARMENIAN KARATE HISTORY

From February 9 to 11, 2024, the European Youth Karate Championship (WKF) took place in Tbilisi. The continental forum gathered a record number of participants in the tournament's history with 1160 athletes from 49 countries.

In the S21 European Championship held in Tbilisi, Armenian representative Gor Nersisyan reached the finals and triumphed over his Macedonian opponent, becoming the European champion in the S21 -84 kg category.

Gor Nersisyan made it to the finals of the Under-21 Championship, winning all 5 of his matches. The Armenian National Karate Federation stated that for the first time in the history of Armenian karate, we have won a gold medal at a European Championship.
