Hamas Reports Two Hostages Killed in Israeli Strikes in Gaza
The armed wing of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas, known as the Al-Qassam Brigades, has reported that two hostages were killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, and another eight were injured. This information was disclosed in a statement sent to media outlets by the group.
"The condition of the injured is becoming increasingly dire due to the inability to provide them with proper medical treatment. Israel bears full responsibility for the lives of the injured amidst the ongoing bombardment," the statement read, as cited by Reuters.
The agency reminds that Hamas released over a hundred hostages, including Israeli and other foreign nationals, during a one-week ceasefire at the end of November, in exchange for nearly 240 Palestinian prisoners.
