Death Toll in Gaza Exceeds 28,000

Following a sharp escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, over 28,000 people have died in the Gaza Strip. This information has been provided by the Gaza Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's data, "the number of victims of Israeli aggression in the enclave today is 28,064." The report indicates that during the same period, since the beginning of October 2023, 67,611 Palestinians have been injured due to Israeli bombing and shelling.

The situation in the Middle East sharply deteriorated on October 7, 2023, after militants from the Palestinian radical movement Hamas infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, which was accompanied by the killing of residents in border communities and taking hostages.

In response, Israel announced a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, began striking certain areas in Lebanon and Syria, and subsequently commenced ground military operations within the enclave. Clashes are also occurring in the West Bank.

On December 1, the Israeli army accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire that has been in effect since November 24 and announced that it is once again preparing for military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian authorities have blamed the United States for Israel's renewed aggression.
