Biden Claims His Memory Is Fine and Mistakenly Calls Netanyahu by Another Name

U.S. President Joe Biden has responded to criticism regarding the decline of his memory due to age, asserting that his memory is in good shape, though he immediately stumbled by addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by another name. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

In the first part of his speech, he dedicated time to the special prosecutor Robert Hur's report concerning Biden's improper handling of classified documents during his vice presidency. Following that, the President agreed to respond to a series of questions from journalists, some of which addressed concerns related to the diminishing memory of a leader at his age.

“My memory is good,” Biden emotionally emphasized several times during his discussion with reporters at the White House.

However, later, when referring to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the U.S. leader again made a misstep, mistakenly calling Netanyahu by another name and attributing him to the leadership of a completely different country. “As you know, initially, the President of Mexico, Sisi (Biden likely meant Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu), did not want to open the crossings to allow humanitarian assistance. I became the one who convinced him. I urged 'Bibi' (Benjamin Netanyahu) to open positions on the Israeli side. I firmly insisted that Israel allow humanitarian assistance into Gaza,” Biden stated.
