X Social Network Becomes Most Downloaded App in the US After Putin Interview Announcement

The X social network, owned by businessman Elon Musk, has become the most downloaded social network in the United States amid the announcement of Russian President Vladimir Putin's interview with journalist Tucker Carlson. This was reported by the TechCrunch internet portal, citing RIA Novosti.

Carlson announced his interview with Putin on February 6 and thanked X's owner Elon Musk for promising not to censor the interview when it was published on the social network.

According to the portal's report, “After former Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced on X that he would be interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin, downloads of the app surged, and within a night X reached the top spot in the US App Store.”
