Which Countries Have Sent the Largest Volume of Humanitarian Aid to Armenia

In the past year, Armenia received humanitarian aid worth $35,649,100. The country that sent the most substantial amount of humanitarian aid was the United States, followed by Italy and Switzerland. According to data released by the Statistical Committee, the volume of humanitarian aid sent to Armenia in 2023 decreased by 58.8 percent compared to 2022.

The lion's share of the humanitarian aid sent last year amounted to $25,228,800, which was primarily related to the chemical industry and its associated sectors. In second place by volume were vehicles, equipment, and machinery, amounting to $2,234,900. Third place went to textiles with an amount of $2,131,800. Armenia also received various industrial goods, devices, and other products.

Regarding the countries, in 2023, Armenia received the largest volume of humanitarian aid from the United States, totaling $8,116,000, which constitutes 22.8 percent of the total aid received. However, this volume has decreased by 69.5 percent compared to 2022. Italy ranked second, sending $3,873,700 worth of aid, which is four times more than in 2022. Switzerland came in third with an aid volume of $2,854,600, which is a decrease of 32.7 percent compared to the previous year.

Following these countries are Germany, with $2,144,300, China with $1,882,300, and France with $1,343,900. In total, 46.8 percent of the humanitarian aid sent was from EU countries, while only 0.1 percent came from CIS countries, and 63.1 percent was from other nations.
