VIDEO: Main Heating Pipeline Explodes, Leaving 6000 Residents Without Heating
In Ivanovo, Russia, a major heating pipeline has exploded, leaving residents without heating in temperatures as low as -17 degrees Celsius. Local media report that due to the incident, six thousand residents from 42 houses are now without heating.
The cause of the explosion was identified as a heating system failure on the main road, which occurred on the morning of February 8. The depression in the pipeline is estimated to be half a meter deep. Footage shows columns of water and steam rising above the trees.
