Substantial Discussions Held on Armenian-Azerbaijani Settlement: Michel

President of the European Council Charles Michel has congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his re-election.

“I congratulated President Aliyev on his re-election and conveyed my best wishes for his new mandate. I emphasized the importance of continued cooperation within the framework of the OSCE. We also discussed EU-Azerbaijan relations and cooperation, including connectivity and energy. Moreover, we held substantial discussions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement. We welcomed Azerbaijan's commitment to resume the trilateral meeting within the framework of the Brussels process to achieve a stable and prosperous South Caucasus,” the statement read.
