VIDEO: Armenia is a Remnant of the Motherland, Says Pashinyan on 'Ideological Deformation'

Armenia's number one hero is the taxpayer, and "Yerablur" is the pantheon established by the taxpayer, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during today's Q&A session in the National Assembly.

“There is a discussion about the immense respect given to the taxpayer in Armenia. Just imagine how far the state has come that the hero of the state is the taxpayer. These people do not understand that without the taxpayer, they would not receive a salary. At least until now, they should have dedicated their salaries to the state. Those who receive salaries from the state budget are claiming that the hero of this country is the taxpayer. What a disgrace,” said Pashinyan.

He continued, “They argue, what about the army, what about the Armed Forces? The army is sustained by the taxpayer; if there is a taxpayer, there is an army; if there is no taxpayer, there is literally no army—no shoes, no clothes, no automatic rifles, no bullets, no tanks, no uniforms, no salaries, no bonuses, no medals, and the medal of the National Hero that is cast based on the taxes contributed by the taxpayer..."

Pashinyan expressed that Armenia's number one hero is the taxpayer. “'Yerablur' is the pantheon established by the taxpayer. The deformation started when we stopped paying attention to what was beneath our feet. When I mention, during working discussions, our attitude towards the Republic of Armenia. When you delve deeper, this attitude often pertains to the question: Do you take the Republic of Armenia seriously, or do you see this little piece of Armenia as worthy of serious consideration? Do you know what our homeland is? This is not a homeland; this is a remnant of the homeland. This consciousness has been instilled in us. This is a serious psychological problem, an ideological issue, and we must definitely talk about this,” Pashinyan stated.
