"I Do Not Respond to Political Trash": Avinyan on "Dog"
Please do not bring that trash into this sphere. This was stated today by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a conversation with journalists at the city hall, in response to a question about the claims made by Vardan Ghukasyan (Dog), leader of the Public Voice party, regarding pressure from the authorities on two members of their faction.
“You are talking about an individual whose statements I will not comment on at all. In general, I do not advise you to bring political trash into this sphere,” said Avinyan.
In response to the remark that Vahan Avagyan, the head of the Public Voice faction, also confirmed that he was at the Investigative Committee yesterday, and whether he denies the allegations that pressure was applied through law enforcement to ensure the presence of two members of the Public Voice today at the council meeting, which would allow for quorum, Avinyan stated: “Yes, I deny it. We have never used such methods and do not plan to use them.”
