VIDEO: Six People Trapped Under Avalanche in Sochi

Six people have become trapped under an avalanche in Sochi. The incident occurred during daylight hours in the area of the F ski slopes located on the Gazprom Laura mountain.

Rescue teams swiftly arrived to dig out the victims. All six individuals, who were on the highway, have been found alive, as reported by the press service of the Gazprom Polyana resort. Their lives and health are not in danger at this time.

The ski runs on the route have been restored. Due to the high risk of avalanches, the cable car and the routes of the Gazprom Alpika slope have been closed for skiing and hiking since February 6.
