Snowfall Forecasted in Some Regions. Weather in Armenia

In certain regions of the Republic of Armenia, precipitation is expected today and tomorrow, with snowfall in the mountainous areas. From February 7-9, dry weather is anticipated. This information has been provided by the Hydro-meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the report, winds will be southwest at 2-5 m/s, but some areas may experience wind intensification today, reaching 20-25 m/s, with speeds of 30-35 m/s on February 6, and 15-20 m/s on the 7th.

In the Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik mountainous regions, as well as in Gegharkunik, ground blizzard is expected on the specified days.

The air temperature is expected to gradually rise by 12-14 degrees until February 7. In Yerevan, on February 5-6, light and short-lived precipitation is possible. On February 7 and 9, dry weather is anticipated.

There is also expected wind intensification in the capital on February 6, with speeds reaching 18-23 m/s.
