Turkey Faces Unprecedented Pressure: Peskov
The date of Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Turkey will be announced in due time. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian President. The information was reported by gazeta.ru.
According to him, Putin will discuss bilateral issues, regional agenda, and Ukraine with his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Turkey is facing unprecedented pressure, often ruthless pressure from Anglo-Saxons, who are trying to force Turkey to act against its interests, if not completely suspend, at least minimize cooperation with us. But Turkey maintains its sovereignty,” Peskov concluded.
Previously, Peskov had mentioned that high-level communications were ongoing regarding the meeting between Putin and Erdoğan, but official information should be awaited.
