If Someone Wants to Scare Us, They Will Receive a Strong Response: Raisi

The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, has stated that his country does not intend to start a war with anyone, but will decisively respond to any attempts to intimidate it. His remarks were quoted by Reuters. The information was conveyed by gazeta.ru.

“We will not start any war, but if someone wants to scare us, they will receive a strong response,” said the Iranian leader.

Recently, CBS reported that the U.S. administration has approved plans to strike Iranian targets, which will be carried out within a few days. On the night of January 28, an Iranian drone attacked a U.S. military base located near the borders of Syria and Jordan. According to CNN, this marks the first instance of American forces suffering personnel losses following enemy bombardment since the outbreak of conflict in Gaza.

Later, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin stated that the U.S. would not tolerate attacks on its military personnel and would take all necessary measures to protect its forces and interests in the Middle East.

In the meantime, Iran-backed Houthis had previously attacked American commercial ships in the Red Sea multiple times. The U.S., the United Kingdom, and other nations have sent their warships there to protect against the militants.
