Ani Isperyan Taken by Law Enforcement, Spokesperson Confirms

The spokesperson for the Minister of Economy, Astghik Sargsyan, confirmed to Auroranews that the minister's assistant, Ani Isperyan, has been taken by law enforcement officials. She stated that it is unknown under what status the deputy minister was taken by the authorities.

"Investigative actions are underway. We consider the fight against corruption to be of utmost importance, but we are guided by the presumption of innocence," the spokesperson noted.

It was previously reported by the ministry that investigative activities are ongoing, and media outlets have circulated information regarding the arrests of Minister of Economy Ani Isperyan and other individuals.

Additionally, it should be noted that today, under the directive of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Ani Isperyan was dismissed from her position as deputy minister.

Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan mentioned in a conversation with reporters that he is unaware whether the National Security Service has entered the ministry or if another agency is involved. In response to a journalist's comment regarding whether the dismissal of Deputy Minister Ani Isperyan coincided with these actions, the minister stated that it is merely a coincidence and revealed that his deputy had informed him 1.5 months ago that her husband had found a job in the Netherlands and that they are planning to relocate.
