International Court of Justice Issues Strong Statement Against Israel

The International Court of Justice in The Hague has called on Israel to cease actions that could be interpreted as violations of the genocide convention, as reported by Reuters on Friday, January 26.

According to the agency, the ruling was made following discussions on a lawsuit submitted by the Republic of South Africa.

It has been noted that the judges did not make a decision on the key aspect of South Africa's lawsuit regarding whether genocide has occurred in Gaza.

Reports indicate that the judges supported nearly all of South Africa's requested urgent measures, except for the immediate cessation of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
