Anna Manukyan Resigns: "I Will Not Continue to Work Under These Authorities"
Anna Manukyan, an employee of the "Armenia All-Armenian Fund" who was dismissed and later reinstated by court order, has announced her resignation. She stated: "Today, at my request, I have been relieved from my position at the 'Armenia' All-Armenian Fund. After a 1.5-year trial, I appeared for work for just a few days. I will not continue to work in any institution under their jurisdiction during these authorities' rule, especially under the same roof as the president, who is also a pianist, where the so-called prime minister frequently resides.
All the skills I acquired during my 10 years at the Fund, my entire potential and diligence, I will reserve for contributing to the restoration and prosperity of our country after liberating ourselves from these authorities. I am hopeful that that day will come. But… I have a few questions for the Executive Director of the Fund, Mr. Arshamyan, to which he will not respond, but these questions must be raised:
- Mr. Arshamyan, as a historian with a PhD in historical sciences, what is your opinion on the disgraceful initiative to turn Armenian history into the history of Armenia and to provide future generations with a falsified and flawed narrative, including a distorted geography that omits Artsakh? Is it acceptable that your favored former journalist-editor is already editing Armenian history?
- Do you consider the unfavorable interventions occurring at the Matenadaran and the Genocide Museum to be normal? Is there a precedent in history where one's own nation's genocide has been forgiven and forgotten? What is your stance on the attacks against the Armenian Apostolic Church and the eradication of national values?
- Why did your favored prime minister allow the Fund to continue and complete the housing project in Stepanakert, handing it over equipped to the enemy?
- If all of this had taken place before 2018 in Armenia, when you were still an active opposition member, what steps would you have taken?
- Why was my forced idleness compensated by the Fund and not by you personally? Why is the Fund bearing the cost due to the ambitious director’s actions?
- After years of criticizing and accusing former officials of fictitious acts, do you not find a resemblance between yourself and their imaginary characters today?
Finally, about your confidant-advisor at the Fund, I don't want to honor or comment on that, let's just note that dishonesty is a sign of weakness.
I will always stand against the evil, falsehood, lies, injustice, lawlessness, and anti-national manifestations that have emerged since 2018, and once again, I will prevail. Now, SEE YOU!
