The West Decides Russia's Role in Azerbaijan and Armenia Reconciliation is Wrong, Lavrov

The West has decided that the role of the Russian Federation in the resolution between Azerbaijan and Armenia is incorrect and is attempting to "tempt" them towards Brussels, Paris, and Washington. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following events at the UN Security Council, as reported by TASS.

“Personally, Russian President Vladimir Putin played a decisive role in how the war was stopped in November 2020, and how several trilateral agreements were coordinated at the highest level among Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia, determining the main parameters for resolution, including border demarcation, unblocking trade and transport routes, and signing a peace treaty,” he stated.

“Recently, we saw how after achieving these agreements, Western partners decided that something was wrong, as Russia was able to make progress in this direction, and they began to appeal to Armenians and Azerbaijanis to go to Brussels, then Paris, then Washington, and then Prague,” the minister added.
