VIDEO: Driver and 9 Passengers Transferred to Different Medical Centers—Details on the Gavarr-Yerevan Route Accident
On January 23, at approximately 10:20 AM, on the 124 km section of the Ijevan-Sevan-Yerevan highway, a Gazelle vehicle, which, according to preliminary data, was transporting passengers on the Gavarr-Yerevan route, left the roadway and flipped over. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle, as well as 9 of the 13 passengers on board, were transferred to various medical centers for treatment. A criminal case has been initiated in the Abovyan investigative division of the Kotayk regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 342, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. Among those seeking medical assistance, 9 individuals have been classified as victims.
As part of the investigation, an examination of the accident scene has been conducted, and a forensic medical examination has been commissioned. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified during the ongoing preliminary investigation. According to initial reports, the condition of the individuals who received medical assistance is satisfactory, and their lives are not in danger.
