The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and impassable roads throughout Armenia. Due to road repair works, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi section of the M-6 highway will be closed to buses and heavy trucks with trailers or semi-trailers between kilometers 38 and 40 until February 15. A detour route will operate via the town of Noyemberyan.

The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and the K’ari Lake in the Aragatsotn Province are closed. The Stepanavan and Spitak bends, as well as the roads from Syunik village, Meghri-Yerevan, Vanadzor-Dilijan, and from the Jermuk intersection to Saravan-'Zanger' are closed to trucks with trailers (trucks are advised to use chains).

The Vardenyats Pass and the Dilijan bends are closed to trucks with trailers and are difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles. The roads leading from the Ashotsk region from M4 to Fantan, and to the village of Jrarber are impassable for all types of vehicles. In Syunik Province, the Yerevan-Sevan section from 24 to 39 km (snowstorm) and the roads leading from M2 to Jermuk City are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.

Snow is falling across the republic (with interruptions). A blizzard is occurring in the Vardenyats Pass, K’eti-Jajur, Artik-Ashotsk roads, in the section called Saravan-Zanger, and in the city of Jermuk. There is fog in the city of Artashat. According to information received from the National Emergency Management Agency of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations in Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for trucks.
