Peskov Responds to CIA Recruitment Attempts Among Russians
The Kremlin has noticed a video published on social media calling on Russians to cooperate with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, during a press briefing.
He emphasized that intelligence agencies from various countries often utilize social media, but the video was mistakenly posted on X (formerly Twitter). "Intelligence services around the world frequently turn to social networks. The CIA does this every year. But someone should tell the CIA that VKontakte is much more popular here than the banned X," said Peskov.
Peskov also made several other statements. He commented on reports in the media regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Turkey. The Kremlin representative noted that communications are ongoing at the highest levels, but official information should be awaited.
