NATO Sees No Immediate Threats from Russia, Says Stoltenberg

NATO currently does not see any immediate threats from Russia towards its allies. This was stated by the organization's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a press briefing.

“We do not see any direct and immediate threats against any of our allies. We are closely monitoring Russia's actions, strengthening our vigilance and our presence on the eastern flank of the alliance, but the goal is to prevent any attack on any of our allies,” he said.

Stoltenberg also announced that in February, the alliance's defense ministers will discuss the increase in military production. “I will discuss the increase in military production today at a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the permanent representatives' level. Additionally, defense ministers from allied countries will address this topic next month,” he noted.

The NATO Secretary General also announced a significant $1.2 billion investment in the production of 155mm ammunition.
