Units of the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are on heightened alert on the country’s highways.
Due to worsening weather conditions, the regional units of the Emergency Situations Department have switched to enhanced service. Rescue teams have been deployed on difficult-to-access and challenging terrains along the republic's highways, particularly at the twists of Stepanavan and Dilijan, in Martuni city, at the Sevan-Dilijan intersection (Sevan peninsula), on the Yerevan-Sevan highway (Chayni twists and near Hrazdan), and on the Aparan-Kuchak and Vayk-Saravan roads.
In the Syunik region, the Goris first aid station has resumed operations. Rescue calculations and operational groups are carrying out regular rounds to provide proper assistance to citizens.
On January 22, reports were received regarding blocked vehicles across various areas of the republic. Rescuers have freed 19 vehicles from blockages and provided necessary assistance to 39 citizens. Operations in these areas are ongoing.
