Snow in Armenia: Current Conditions on Roads

The rescue service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

Until February 15, due to road renovation works, the M-6 highway segment near Vanadzor-Alaverdi will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers, specifically between kilometers 38 and 40. The detour route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

Roads in the Syunik region are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers. It is snowing in the regions including Saravan, the area called "Zanger," Jermuk, Berd, Dilijan, Vanadzor, Tashir, Stepanavan, and Tsaghkadzor, as well as in the regions of Hrazdan, Aragats, and Aparan.

Regarding Larsi, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Emergency Situations Ministry of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks. Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
