"Monstrous Terrorism": Peskov
The strikes delivered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian infrastructure and people in Donetsk are a monstrous act of terrorism. This was stated to journalists by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
"The Kyiv regime continues to display its animalistic face; they continue to strike civilian infrastructure. They are targeting people, the civilian population. The strike that occurred the day before on the commercial strips of Donetsk is a monstrous terrorist act because it involved indiscriminate weapons, which resulted in a large number of casualties," Peskov said.
On the morning of January 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Donetsk. The area of the market located in the Tekstilshchik microdistrict was particularly affected by the shelling. According to Denis Pushilin, the leader of the DPR, 28 civilians lost their lives, and another 30 people were injured to varying degrees, including 2 teenagers.
